Garden Reach Institute For The Rehabilitation And Research is a secular, voluntary, non-profit organization working to bring change in the life of the marginalized section of the society living in the slum of Garden Reach ,Metaburuz , Kolkata , of West Bengal, is an organization working for persons with disabilities. We carry out various activities such as Special education, physiotherapy, aids & Appliances production, advocacy and community based rehabilitation Programme for persons with disabilities, their families and community members to support them build a good life. GRIRR is working here to achieve the goal of 100% elimination of Illiteracy, alleviation of poverty, to create self-independence through Vocational Training. SHGs and microfinance and to build a healthy society through quality health care services.

Garden Reach Institute For The Rehabilitation And Research (GRIRR) was registered as a society in 2015. Over the years, GRIRR has constantly strived to uplift the poor community children, mostly belonging to the families of daily wage laborers, rickshaw-pullers, drug addicts, housemaids and also children of convicts who are in jail or from similar humble background, by providing them access to quality Special education by establishing at Garden Reach, Metaburuz slum of Kolkata. However, the focus of the organization does not remain limited within the premises of education, but also it strives to provide vocational training for poor girls and widows, medical health facilities to the poorest of the poor, computer literacy program for the poor children and forming SHG group for achieving financial independence for the oppressed women. We have running one program with children with disabilities " Special School with Community Rehabilitation center.
