Holy Mission for Children’s Welfare and Rural Development
Holy Mission is an innovative community based association initiating livelihood of disadvantaged youth and women since its inception. It has 17 years of experiences partnering different community based projects in West Bengal and Jharkhand state. We have completed huge no. of Projects in the last 17 years. Our Major Thematic areas like Climate resilient livelihood, Adolescent’s Empowerment, Poverty alleviation, Gender equality and Skill Development training, Afforestation etc .
It is a Registered Societies Registered under WB Society Registration Act dated 11.11.2005, FCRA Registration No: 147120770, CSR Registration no. CSR00020235, registered under 12 A of IT Act, Registered under 80G of the I.T Act, 1961.

Some of our Impactful Activities

• We formed 340 nos. Of women SHG Groups and 50 ALFs [Area Level Federation] under various municipalities and 150 Joint liability Groups in various blocks and arranged bank linkage of groups which has created economic expansion and capabilities of women both in urban poor and rural communities [ under DAY- NULM and NABARD guidelines.]
• We trained 80 nos. Of Youth both men and women under GDA Training programme supported by SC/ST Development & Finance Corporation (Govt. of West Bengal) in partnership with Brainware Consultancy Pvt. Ltd.
• We trained 200 nos. Of Youth Women under GDA Training programme and placed in different Health Care Units like Hospitals, Nursing Home, Health Care Institute, Poly Clinic Centre, Doctor Chambers etc in Partnership with Smile Foundation.
• We Promoted 120 nos. Of Skill Women SHG members under MEDP [Micro – Enterprise Development Programme] supported by NABARD. The women trainees are being trained to understand, the group saving process, had to understand clearly the basic of co-operative the group savings, counselling and problem solving to build up the strength of community.
• We trained 200 nos. Of women under Swawlamban Project [ 4 batches ] supported by West Bengal Women Development Undertaking
• We Constructed 200 nos. Of of IHHL/and 3 nos. Of Community Toilets under Nirmal Bangla [ Swachh Bharat Mission – Gramin] in Maynaguri block (Jalpaiguri District).

• Muktidhara Project: We trained 480 nos. of Women SHG members on readymade Garments making Trade with financial support from BDOs (Habra I, Habra II, Deganga Block, Amdanga Block, Barrackpore II Block, Basirhat II Block, Sandeshkhali I Block, Sandeshkhali II Block, Haroa Block) in North 24 Pgs.

• Muktidhara Project: further we trained 120 nos. Of women in partnership with West Bengal Swarojgar Corporation Ltd under the Scheme in Sandeshkhali Blocks and Amdanga Block in North 24 Pgs district.

• New Satellite Charkha Scheme ( Spinning Wheel) with West Bengal Khadi & Village Industries Board , Govt. of West Bengal: Promotion of Income generation scheme with 30 women, making yarn from cotton through spinning wheel which is bought by West Bengal Khadi Board for a monthly remuneration of Rs.6000-7000 and additional bonus with PF facilities.
• Rural Biotechnology Programme with Jalpaiguri Krishi Vigyan Kendra: Vermi –composting, Goat rearing, Duck rearing, Poultry farming supported by Jalpaiguri Krishi Vigyan Kendra: We trained 250 persons in Maynaguri block of Jalpaiguri District, West Bengal in financial support from KVK Jalpaiguri in association with NABARD and local Bank for financial support.
• We trained 240 nos. of youth trained under Smile –e learning programme [ Computer , Spoken English, Retail Management, Personality Development ] and placed in different retail sectors in partnership with Smile Foundation
• We trained 190 nos. of youth trained under ESTP [ Employment through Skill Training Programme ] and placed in different retail sectors in partnership with ONGC Ltd. under CSR initiative at Barasat

• Red Alert Programme: under the programme, we are conducting more than 300 awareness camps in school and communities [Child Marriage Awareness] and Anti-trafficking awareness campaigning programme in Schools and villages Communities every year since 2018. In the year 2023-24 we conducted more than 500 awareness camps in North 24 Pgs. district

Some impactful activities, in case of Child Trafficking , Child Abuse and Child Marriage etc to safeguard the vulnerable Children in association with District Legal Services Authority/ ICDS Department details are as follows:

1) For preventing the Child Marriage – our Team has filled 11 nos. Of FIR at the local Police Station in response to the alleged Child Marriage under Barrackpore block in the recent past.

2) Our Team has successfully intervened and counseled to stop 55 nos. Of Child Marriage cases before it occurred, and ensured consent letters from their respect parents to continue the education of the child till the marriage age of the girls as per guideline.

3) Our Team has assisted in lodging 3 nos. Of FIR against perpetrators of Child Trafficking in Barrackpore 1-Block, North 24 Pgs. district. West Bengal.

4) Our Team has provided support to 28 nos. Of victim families aiding them in registering missing Children cases with legal authorities ,thus initiating actions to locate the missing Children.

5) Our Team has provided Legal support through District Legal Services Authority/ Child Protect Unit, under Barrackpore Sub-Division, North 24 Pgs district to deliver essential services and advice to victim and their families, ensuring access to justice and support during challenging times.

Holy Mission has partnership with My Choices Foundation and deeply committed to combating Child Marriage, Child Sexual Abuse and Child trafficking and domestic violence etc.
