Foster a culture of giving and empathy in future leads and citizens of tomorrow for a kinder world….
Dan Utsav is a nationwide festival that encourages acts of giving, sharing, and kindness. Like every year, this year Dan Utsav was also celebrated from October 2nd to 8th. The festival includes a variety of activities like donation drives, community service, fundraising, events, and many more.
We celebrate Dan Utsav to encourage a spirit in giving and sharing in the community, to promote active involvement in societal well being, to provide opportunities for learning and personal development and to empower individuals to make a meaningful difference in the world.
Sutanutir Sakhya is proud to announce its participation in Dan Utsav in collaboration with Siddha Town at Rajarhat on September 21 st, 2024. The atmosphere was full of joy and enthusiasm. We had a variety of activities planned, including donation drives and drawing competitions. Some of the girls from Sutanutir Sakhya participated in the dance program. They did it very well. One of the renowned dancers, Anupama Bhattacharya gave commendable performance.
One of the highlights of our celebration was the wish tree. We set up a beautiful tree. The wish tree was installed at club reception of Rajarhat Siddha Town till 8 th October. This tree was full of petals with wishes to be fulfilled of those who hardly get a new dress to wear in Durga puja or never get a new toy to play. It was heartwarming to read through all the messages sent by them.
Another significant task that Sutanutir Sakhya successfully accomplished with the cooperation of Rajarhat Siddha Town during this donation drive was distributing clothes to the flood-affected people in Ghatal, West Midnapore village of west Bengal through the hands of an organization named Prantakatha.
Dan Utsav is all about making difference, no matter how small. By coming together and participating in these activities, we were able to spread kindness and create a positive impact on our community. It is a reminder that even the smallest acts of compassion can have a ripple effect.
