On 18th September 2024, the Society for Heritage & Ecological Researches (SHER), hosted a heartwarming event titled SPREADING SMILES. Focused on uplifting 400 underprivileged children aged 5 to 10 years, This is a unique initiative of Exide Industries Ltd and BCC&I was the Implementing Partner.

Targeting marginalized communities living in the forest fringe areas of South West Bengal, the initiative provided new sets of clothes packaged in reusable waterproof carry bags, bringing joy and smiles ahead of the festive season of Durga Puja and Deepavali. This initiative not only addressed the basic needs of these children but also fostered a sense of celebration and inclusion, reflecting the power of community-driven efforts in making a meaningful impact.

The initiative radiated positivity, as the joy on the children’s faces was a testament to the value of support and care during this festive period.
